Dr. Shahper Shammi MBBS, DCH, FRANZCP Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Shahper Shammi is a compassionate and highly qualified psychiatrist with expertise in child, adolescent, and adult mental health. Born in Bangladesh and now practicing in Australia, Dr. Shahper brings a rich blend of international and Australian clinical experience.
She completed her MBBS in Bangladesh before relocating to Australia, where she achieved Australian Medical Council (AMC) certification and completed her Fellowship (FRANZCP) with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, with advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the University of Sydney, reflecting her strong commitment to the mental health of young people.
Dr. Shahper has worked extensively across both rural and metropolitan settings. She treats a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and complex psychiatric presentations. She is fluent in English, Bengali, and Hindi, offering culturally sensitive care to diverse communities.
